Mustad Tackle Prevention's range of products is constructed using a high-density Neoprene foam material that has a low compression set. A compression set is the measure of a material's ability to return to its original thickness after prolonged compressive stresses. Neoprene is an inert material that does not react with chemicals such as oils and grease commonly used on fishing reels or any sprays used on rod guides against corrosion resistance. Neoprene is also resistant to weathering, especially from UV rays which may cause flexing or cracking, making it an ideal material for protecting your valuable gear.
The spool bands packed in two units per bag, slip easily over your spin reel spool and trap the line in place, keeping it from jumping off the spool. These bands also have a tab that allows them to be removed very easily, rather than traditional bands that almost need to be rolled from the spool.
