From past 5-6 seasons, I have been using the Duo Drag Metal Cast 40g jig, and it has become one of my favorites. The jig has a compact body, realistic finish and a slow falling action that perfectly imitates a mullet. The holographic shine makes it look alive in the water, which instantly grabs the attention of predators like salmon, GT, Groupers, etc.

I first used it during low tide, when mullets were coming down with the tide. Indian Threadfin Salmon were attacking the mullets and this jig matched the bait perfectly and I landed 3 solid salmons on it.
The performance didn’t stop there. In past days I also had successful catches of Giant Trevally (GT), Barracuda and Diana Fish with the same jig. It casts long, works with both fast and slow retrieves, and the assist hook is strong enough to handle big, powerful fish.
For me, this is the best jig for post-monsoon Indian Threadfin Salmon and it also proves deadly for many other Indian saltwater game fish. Truly a must-have in the tackle box.
