The Rapala Jointed has been successful for years because of its design, when this jointed lure swims it simulates a fish in distress and this often triggers a hit. To conserve energy predators will attack easy targets first and a fish swimming in distress makes for an easy meal, hence this jointed lure works well, especially in muddy waters with poor visibility.
